Little Monkey Blanket Carriers
TM
click here for style descriptions and options/accessories
Prices starting at $100 (18"x18", 9' straps)
Our blanket carriers are a combination of a fold-up baby quilt and a mei-tei (sounds like May Tie) baby/infant carrier. Folded up, it is used to carry your little monkey on your front or your back. Unfolded, it becomes a baby blanket that you can use to cuddle up under, change your little monkey's diaper, or have a picnic on while in the park or on a hike. While other baby carriers loose their usefulness when baby grows up, this carrier can double as a portable quilt/shoulder bag forever! (for weight limits, see our safety page)

CARE AND INSTRUCTIONS for blanket carriers:
Washing: Open up blanket. Throw into washer with your load of towels. Wash. Throw into Dryer. Dry.
Really, it's that simple. No special instructions. I try to use material that is sturdy, non-shrinking, and easy to wash. Our little monkeys are hard on stuff... why not make it easy to care for?

For folding and carrying instructions, Go here to see more detailed instructions and videos of how to keep a monkey on your back.
BASIC instructions are: Put straps around waist, tie in a bow. Pick up your little monkey. Pull carrier up behind monkey. Criss cross straps across back (or chest). Wrap around waist and tie in bow, also. All done!

WARNING: THIS CARRIER SHOULD NOT BE USED TO CARRY BABY FACING AWAY FROM YOUR BODY. IT WAS NOT DESIGNED FOR THAT TYPE OF CARRY AND THERE CAN BE RISK OF BABY SLIPPING OUT. ALWAYS SUPPORT YOUR BABY WITH YOUR HANDS AND ARMS WHEN LEANING OR BENDING TO PREVENT INJURY TO YOURSELF OR THE BABY. WHEN NECESSARY, USE YOUR LEGS TO LOWER YOURSELF, NOT YOUR BACK (FOR EXAMPLE: REACHING ITEMS OFF OF FLOOR OR LOWER SHELF). REMEMBER THAT, WHILE IN THE CARRIER, YOUR BABY IS AN EXTENSION OF YOU, SO ALLOW FOR MORE SPACE WHEN WALKING THROUGH DOORWAYS OR TURNING IN CROWDS, ETC. NEVER ALLOW AN INFANT'S CHIN TO TOUCH THEIR CHEST AS THIS CAN OBSTRUCT THEIR AIRWAY.
